Brett H. Ramsaur
Founder, Ramsaur Law

Brett H. Ramsaur concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, creditors' rights and commercial collections. He primarily represents creditors in collecting commercial debts and enforcing judgments in both state and federal court throughout California and Washington, in addition to counseling debtors and creditors in all facets of bankruptcy cases.

Brett studied economics at the University of Washington and earned his J.D. from Chapman University School of Law in 2009. During law school, Brett served a judicial externship for the Honorable Theodor C. Albert, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Deborah J. Saltzman, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California before joining the large full-service commercial law firm Snell & Wilmer LLP in its Orange County office.  At Snell & Wilmer, Brett was a member of the Bankruptcy and Reorganization and Foreclosure and Collections practice groups, where he focused on the same areas in which he now specializes: creditors’ rights, commercial collections and bankruptcy-related litigation.

After four years at Snell, Brett opened this firm to focus exclusively on creditors' rights and commercial debt collection.  Brett is one of just a handful of lawyers specifically focused on representing secured and unsecured creditors in bankruptcy, loan defaults, commercial collections and judgment enforcement matters on the West Coast. He is well known and respected in the industry and, as a result, his client base includes national and regional banks, equipment financiers and lessors, non-traditional financial institutions, private lenders, debt buyers, law firms, construction companies and material suppliers.

Brett has been awarded the distinction of California Super Lawyers® from 2020-2022, as well as formerly included in the Rising Stars Edition from 2017-2019 as a top rated bankruptcy attorney.
