Named “Up-and-Coming 25: 2019 Orange County Rising Stars List” by Super Lawyers®
Brett H. Ramsaur concentrates his practice on bankruptcy, creditors' rights and commercial collections. He primarily represents creditors in collecting commercial debts and enforcing judgments in both state and federal court throughout California and Washington, in addition to counseling debtors and creditors in all facets of bankruptcy cases.
Brett studied economics at the University of Washington and earned his J.D. from Chapman University School of Law in 2009. During law school, Brett served a judicial externship for the Honorable Theodor C. Albert, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California. After law school, he clerked for the Honorable Deborah J. Saltzman, United States Bankruptcy Judge for the Central District of California for almost three years.
Thereafter, Brett joined the large full-service commercial law firm Snell & Wilmer LLP in its Orange County office, where he spent the next several years gaining the invaluable experience he now uses to serve his debt collection and creditor clients.
At Snell & Wilmer, Brett was a member of the Bankruptcy and Reorganization and Foreclosure and Collections practice groups, where he focused on the same areas in which he now specializes: creditors’ rights, commercial collections and bankruptcy-related litigation.
After four years at Snell, Brett decided to open his own firm to pursue the niche market of creditors' rights and commercial debt collection.
Brett is one of just a handful of lawyers specifically focused on creditor’s rights and commercial collection on the West Coast. He is well known and respected in the industry for being aggressive, fearless and, most importantly, getting maximum RESULTS for his clients.
Brett has been awarded the distinction of California Super Lawyers®, Rising Stars Edition 2017-2018, as a top rated bankruptcy attorney.
